Praise the Lord!!! I’m so excited for your family! I can’t wait to meet the girls and be silly with them. I would love to babysit. Bummer I don’t live closer (hehehe-Love and Logic- “bummerâ€!). Maybe I could watch them from a webcam and podcast a funny story they could listen to. hehehe Isn’t technology amazing?!!!! I LOVE your podcast on foster parenting. You are both so talented!! Andrea and Linda are so blessed to have you as parents. The holding time technique was quite fascinating. I read the article and was shocked to find out more. Interesting/Weird! It sounds like it’s worked great for you. I think I need to use the attachment/nurturing/quality time concept with some of my needy students. Thank you for educating me! I love you both!!
p.s. You CRACK me up! The two of you are the best comedy act I’ve EVER heard (on a podcast)!!
Wow!!! Exciting stuff! It is so neat to be able to follow your journey…
Hi Tim and Wendy – I’m so glad I found your site. My husband and I are just in the “searching for information†stage regarding possibly becoming foster parents in Texas. I’ve spent the last several hours just listening to all of your podcasts, one after the other. You two are such an inspiration and I have been truly blessed by listening to each of your messages. You are making a difference in the world – not only for Linda and Andrea, but also to the people you will inspire to also do what they can to make a difference. I’ve bookmarked your page and will be stopping in often to hear how things are progressing for your new family. Thanks and keep up the great work!
Jessica, I’m so glad you found us! Kudos to you and your husband for taking the step to research foster care. (I read a study one time that said almost 50% of American women have thought about foster care or adoption, but fewer than 10% have taken the time to get more information. You just jumped into the elite 10%! A pat on the back is in order.)
Tim and I have been talking about how neat it is that people we don’t know are finding our podcast and using it as a resource. We really feel honored that God has allowed us to be a voice for kids in foster care. As you continue in the process, I know that you will find yourself as a resource and voice too!
Please keep us posted on your progress. If you have questions we should be addressing on the podcast, let us know that too.
